  • In 2012 Patricia and her husband Joseph founded VADV. 
  • She retired from the Federal Government in 2021 after 33 years of service.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

  • Jacqueline joined the team in 2014.
  • In 2022, she was elected Executive Director. 
  • She is an IT Manager and has been in the Information Technology field for over 30 years.
  • Domestic violence survivor & thriver
  • Jacqueline was born and raised in the Eastern Panhandle of WV and is one of six children. 
  • She is a biological mother of three adult daughters, a foster mother of one and grandmother to Na Na, Riah, Cash, Alec, Nevaeh and Lexie. 
  • As a domestic violence survivor she is determined to be a “voice” for others. Jacqueline has a passion for helping and serving others and has a heart for children and people.  
  • Jacqueline is also an active member of her church and prominent leader in community. She is the reigning America’s Elegant Miss National Ms 2022.

TREASURER

  • Mary joined the team in 2019. 
  • She retired from Lockheed Martin and is very active in the Jefferson County community.
  • Mary has been an active Girl Scout leader, an Advisor of local SADD chapter, active with the local Boys and Girls Club and is the treasurer of her church. 
  • She is a mother of two and grandmother of three.

BOARD MEMBER

  • Michelle is a founding board member who has been a member since 2012.
  • She serves as VADVs Director of Resource Acquisition and is responsible for acquiring much needed resources for clients in transition.
  • Michelle also serves as the Outreach Lead for events and activities with the elderly with a focus on wellness for elderly community members.
  • She has worked many years with EPIC Head Start.
  • Michelle is a wife, mother, and most enjoyable, a grandmother to Kheelan and Kaiden.

  • Barbara joined the team in 2018 after being a guest speaker for VADVs Candlelight Vigil
  • She was elected to the board in 2020
  • She serves as a Lead DV Advocate and Liaison and is involved in community youth advocacy
  • Barbara is the founder of Thriving Butterflies, a nonprofit focused on youth empowerment
  • She is employed by the Federal Government
  • She is a grant writer and analyzer
  • Domestic violence survivor & thriver
  • Barbara serves in the community feeding unhoused neighbors
  • Life Scripture: Jeremiah 1:5-8

  • She serves as the Housing Advocate Lead for Safe Housing and Transitional Housing.
